Apple CEO Steve Jobs Takes Leave of Absence
Some iconic business leaders are so associated with the success or failure of their company that news of their health influences the health of the company itself (i.e. stock prices and consumer confidence).
Such is the case with Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple. He's been the visionary and guiding force for years and there's no question the iPod and iPhone product lines have done a great deal for Apple brand loyalty.
Jobs has appeared gaunt for months and rumors have swirled about his health. He's survived surgery and a bout with pancreatic cancer in 2004. That's a great story - pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly (my mother passed away from it in 2006 and it was pretty quick). But it turns out his recent health issues have been diagnosed as hormone imbalance and he's getting treatment, but stepping away from duties for a (story). Here's to his speedy recovery.
I discovered a website that has lots of interesting and helpful health issues information. It's OrganizedWisdom.com. Check out their Wisdom Cards.
