Maximizing Marketing in 2009
Hopefully you did get to spend some "down time" during the holidays. But that's now over. Everyone is back in the saddle and getting a bit more serious about work (although many of you were already grinding away).
You are probably thinking about how to maximize your Internet marketing for 2009 while dealing with a down economy. There are still ways to be effective, of course, but you have to research, be creative...and also just really super-serve your target audience.
Social media is a big buzz. How are you using it? Is there a method to your time spent there - or do find you are "twitter"ing away too much time best applied to other areas?
Good content means someone must do the writing for your web site, blog, newsletter, email campaigns...perhaps even for your social media postings. Who's responsible for that? There are lots of good freelance writers, so you can get the job done without someone on staff (although that's a nice thought - someone as a "go to, get r done" writer).
Lots of people utilize PPC (pay per click). Do you have good metrics to measure your efforts (Site Build It has a great component for this...just another way they over-deliver).
According to Esther C. Kane of PromotionWorld.com and her Internet Marketing Tips and Predictions for 2009, YouTube is now the 2nd most used search engine in the world. People do like to watch video. How are you using it?
